Nathan has been active in the animal and climate movements since mid-2021, after attending Extinction Rebellion's "Impossible Rebellion" in that year. He has been Animal Rising's Press Coordinator since early 2022, gaining experience in a leading media spokes role with Just Stop Oil.

In his time with Animal Rising, he has overseen its press office during blockbuster protests including its 2022 blockade of the dairy industry, 2023 Grand National disruption, and rescue of lambs from the Sandringham Royal Estate.

In 2023 he guided Animal Rising to 12 national newspaper front pages, over 750 print press mentions, and 130+ TV and radio interviews.
